Starting in the summer of 2024, I'm offering intimate, small-group bear viewing adventures in the pristine wilderness of Katmai National Park and Preserve. Whether you are looking for a day excursion or a multi-day backcountry camping trip, Curious Nature will work with you to plan your adventure.
As an experienced bear viewing, outdoor adventure, and naturalist guide, I'm thrilled to share the incredible privilege of time spent among Alaska’s coastal brown bears with you!

We are incredibly fortunate to be able to observe the lives of the brown bears of Katmai, as tolerated and often ignored visitors. The experience is truly unique, and it is our duty to approach it with the utmost respect and responsibility.

Decades of conscientious visitation has paved the way and made it possible for us to partake in these extraordinary experiences.

My primary objective is to guide you in observing bears safely, minimizing any impact on their behaviors and daily routines. These magnificent creatures share our planet, and it is my earnest goal to provide you with an enriching experience while maintaining the well-being of both you and the bears.
